Is there really such thing as the perfect outfit? Why, yes there is!

A perfect outfit consists of many parts that work together to do what it is supposed to do- make you stylish yet prepared for your day. It should make you feel beautiful while also providing comfort and some practicality.

Obviously a gorgeous ruby red ball gown and a pair of strappy stilettos isn’t the perfect outfit for a ball game, right? However your favorite white v-neck tee, pair of semi-fitted boyfriend jeans, Chelsea boots, and a light jacket would knock it out of the park instead. Choosing this outfit provides comfort for times of long periods of sitting. The boots compared to the heels would allow your feet to remain pain free while walking up the stands to grab those warm park peanuts you’ve been craving. Not to mention, wind loves baseball games so that jacket could turn into your best friend!

Knowing your surroundings and the overall idea of where you’re going should play a strong part in the outfit picking process since the perfect outfit doesn’t happen without these key thoughts. Although practicality plays a very important role, you cant forget that style does too! An outfit isn’t cute just because it’ll protect you from the weather. Remember the outfit should flow and make sense. Glam it up with accessories but remember they should enhance the ensemble without causing a distraction.

So when it all boils down to it, the perfect outfit should ultimately make you feel pretty, comfortable, and excited to wear it!

Do you have a great way of picking out your perfect outfit? I would love to know your process!

Pre spring is always the hardest. Dealing with ugly weather like horrid winds and consistent rain, sometimes it is hard to remember spring is right around the corner. However, with all the hottest new trends forecasted for this season there’s no way I can get my mind off the fab style we’re going to be seeing a lot of!

This up coming spring season we are pulling out all the top styles from the runways and bringing them to the streets near you. Trends such as fringe, shirt dresses, and yellow will be making quite the appearance this season. Not to mention the favorite kimono trench and top handled bags.

Fringe is ruling the boho chic department right now and is all the rave. appearing on purses to leather jackets, trust that fringe will be your new friend by the time this season is done with!

Designers have given the shirt dress a whole new look. Adding sexy slits and dropping the waist, shirt dresses have become a must-have and closet essential for this seasons latest trend.

Draped and slouched, the kimono styled trenches have become the future. Mixing the iconic trench coat and one of the hottest 2014 spring trend, the kimono, the kimono trench will be a hot seller. You’ll be sure to spot this beauty all around and for good reason too! It’s chic chic chic! Yellow can be tricky but done right with the perfect shade you’re sure to be simply flawless.

Our favorite accessories are getting revamped and making the ultimate appearance. This seasons hottest accessories are said to be statement earrings and top handled bags.

Which ever styles you decide to go with this next fab season, any of the latest trends will be sure to keep you fashionable and stylish!

Have any other hot trends you think will be seen all over? Let me know! I would love to know what other trends and styles to be expecting.

At first thought, apps like Stylebook and Pureple which are closet organizing apps seem like a really convenient and organized idea. However, if you are anything like me then you’ll know that apps like those just simply wouldn’t work and quite frankly are a waste of time.

The Apple App Store has come out with what could be a genius idea with pre planned outfits in a closet organizing app. You simply upload pictures of garments and put together an outfit which you can then place on a calendar as a guide for your weekly ensembles. Super cool idea with some not so cool flaws, in my opinion.

You see, I am more of a practical dresser. Don’t get me wrong, I always make sure to keep it très chic always but I also know my outfit that day isn’t going to let the breeze in if it were to be windy. I also know I will be rocking rain boots if any sort of rain is on the forecast that day. And how will I find out the most accurate weather for the day? That morning. The morning when i’m trying to decide what to wear. You can't preplan for the weather a week in advance. Although you have the forecast for the week, weather is always changing and you can’t be too sure until that day.

Not to mention, I have a hard time sticking to a schedule so all this preplanning for me to just ignore the schedule, would be an immense waste of my time and probably my phones battery as well.

The closet planning apps are very nice in theory but for the everyday practical and smart fashionista, they simply don’t work. These apps don’t account for weather which is an extremely important part to outfit planning. Also, I dress for my mood. If I don’t feel as confident as I did the day before maybe I’ll throw on a cute sweater, some leggings, and my adorable Chelsea boots instead of the shift dress with a light cardi and strappy heels to top it off that I had previously planned on the app. Therefore, all the work I went through on the app to take the pictures and upload them to putting all the looks together to fill up the calendar, would have been a waste. Not to mention Stylebook is about $4 so also a waste of money.

All in all, I think if you want to have an awesome outfit that will also provide the things you need (i.e. weather protection and comfort) then preplanning is a no go. Stick to the traditional route when getting dressed and your outfit will strive any day!

Have you tried any of these apps? If so do you like them and actually use them?
